I live for Wednesdays. Middle of the week, Bible study, no work. It is purely a time to write and catch up on my ever expanding "to do" list.
Today, I am thankful for rest and motivation. But I'm not just talking about sleep. Since summer 2009, Psalm 46:10 has been my constant companion. “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Too often, this achiever gets caught up in the "to do" list. Then, I get overwhelmed. Then, I get frustrated. Granted, it takes me a while to get to this place, but eventually, I have lost sight of what I am really working toward.
When I take time to be thankful and remember that everything I do is for God's glory, I remove myself from the equation and allow the Lord to fully move and work in His way and in His time. Today, I am thankful for the rest and strength He gives me to pursue my dreams and pray He is exalted in the midst of it all.
What are you thankful for today?

I wear a necklace that says "Be Still" on the back...to remind me of much of what you wrote about.
